Yalburt Project is proud to have a dedicated team of archaeologists, architects, architectural historians, geomorphologists, environmental scientists, and other varieties of field practitioners and thinkers. Several students have also taken part in the project's various field seasons. The Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism annually appoints a representative to accompany the team.

Ömür Harmanşah
Director of the Yalburt Survey Project. Associate Professor of Art History at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Ömür has a PhD in the History of Art from the University of Pennsylvania (2005). As an architectural historian and an archaeologist of the Middle East, He has written on cities and the production of architectural and urban space, but also on place and landscape. Lately he has been interested in political ecology and cultural heritage.
peri Johnson
Field and Associate Director of the Yalburt Survey Project. Peri Johnson has a PhD in the Art and Archaeology of the Mediterranean World from the University of Pennsylvania (2010). She is an affiliate scholar at the University of Illinois at Chicago and has also taught at Nowthwestern University and the University of Texas at Austin.
MÜge durusu-tanriÖver
Senior Staff Member of the Yalburt Survey Project and Specialist in Second Millennium Ceramics and Architectural Documentation. Müge Durusu-Tanrıover has a PhD in Archaeology and the Ancient World from Brown University (2016). She teaches at Bilkent University, Department of Urban Design and Landscape Architecture.

ShanNon Martino
Senior Staff Member of the Yalburt Survey Project and Specialist in Neolithic, Chalcolithic and Early Bronze Age Ceramics. Shannon Martino has a PhD in the Art and Archaeology of the Mediterranean World from the University of Pennsylvania (2012) and currently she is a Lecturer at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Dilcan Acer
Staff Member at the Yalburt Survey Project. Survey Team and Photography. Dilcan Acer is an archaeologist with a BA Degree from Istanbul University. Dilcan joined Yalburt Project field seasons 2015 and 2016.
Bochay drum
Staff Member at the Yalburt Survey Project. Survey Team, Geomorphology and Vegetation Ecology. Bochay Drum has a BA from Brown University in Science and Technology Studies ("Science and Society"). Bochay joined Yalburt Project field seasons 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2016.
B. Nilgun oz
Staff Member at the Yalburt Survey Project. Architectural Conservation and Cultural Heritage Management. Nilgun Oz is a PhD candidate at Middle East Technical University in Architectural Conservation. She has been a RCAC-BIAA Fellow in Cultural Heritage Management (2015-2016) with a focus on the preparation of a management plan for Çaltılar Höyük in Fethiye, Turkey. Nilgun participated in Yalburt field seasons in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015.
